Meet Dr. Edwin Tyska
I honestly feel that I am one of the lucky people who really enjoy what they do for a living. I love being an orthodontist. For the past 10 years I have had the opportunity to serve and meet so many wonderful people. The friendships I have made with my patients and their families and the changes that I have made in their smiles are ones that I feel will last a lifetime.
Education/Experience:
My education in dentistry and orthodontics has provided me with a strong foundation of knowledge and experience. It is my practice philosophy that every patient should be treated the way I would my own family. Before practicing privately as an orthodontist I received the following degrees:
- BS in Biology, St. Johns University
Queens, New York
Graduated Magna cum Laude 1989-1993 - DDS University at Buffalo
Graduated Magna cum Laude 1994-1998 - Certificate of Proficiency in Orthodontics
University at Buffalo 1998-2001
Continuing Education & Professional Associations:
The doctors in our practice regularly participate in continuing education programs to stay current on treatment methods, materials and the latest technology. We strongly feel that this allows us to provide our patients with more treatment options and better results. Currently I am a member of several professional associations including:
- Eighth District Orthodontic Academy
- Northeastern Society of Orthodontists
- American Association of Orthodontists
- American Dental Association
- Eighth District Dental Society
- Erie County Dental Society
- New York State Dental Association
Outside the office:
As a current resident of East Amherst, I proudly call Buffalo my home. While at the University at Buffalo I met the love of my life and now wife Courtney. We have been happily married for 10 years and have 2 beautiful children ages 5 and 7. When not spending time with my family I enjoy traveling, going to the movies, golfing and cheering on the Buffalo Sabres.
